Ask Caring Hands
VACCINATIONS: Hot Topic
Opinion on immunizations vs. not immunizing.
That’s a hot topic these days! I definitely advise all our patients to get vaccinated based on the guidelines set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Childhood vaccinations have done such a good job at preventing illnesses that we no longer see many of these vaccine-preventable diseases. Because of this, people have become concerned that the risk of side effects has outweighed the benefit of preventing disease or death. Many people have elected not to immunize their children and as a result ...

Cozi
I have the best readers of all time. A reader shot me an email several days ago about a service his family uses and I finally got around to looking at the website.
At first I thought.. OK this is great! Someone wants a shout out for their product, let me check it out. But the reader isn't affiliated with Cozi, he is a user that loves it and though Macaroni Kid would be a perfect forum for it. Why?
- Its Free - YOU KNOW I LOVE FREE!

Welcome to the Neighborhood...
........NOT.......
If you know me, you know that I fear two things in life like nothing else.
Clowns, and spiders.
While I will never be a frequent visitor of the circus, I can avoid clowns like no man's business. Spiders on the other hand...
They seek ME out.
They crawl near ME.
The "jumpy" ones LOOOVVEEEE ME. They think it is a game to jump at me multiple times, watching me jump and run in return.
I am also NOT a morning person. No I am not cranky or irritable ...

“Le Creuset” at CSN.com
I am a cooker. I LOVE to cook, especially when the weather turns cooler. In my house you will find pots of real Italian Wedding Soup, Potato and Stuffed Pepper Soups, casseroles, and real homemade dinners. I don't bake, i burn. I stick with what I know, cooking.
I never belived that the right kind of pot could make or break your food dish. I was wrong. Ever tried cooking with a non-stick pan, or a cheap pot? I have, and it never turned out great. They ended up ...

Rainbow's End Memorial Playground
"A Playground for Thousands, in the Memory of Two..."
Rainbow's End Memorial playground, in Clinton Park, was constructed in Sept of 2000 by a dedicated group of community-oriented people and businesses who relied solely upon funds, materials, and manpower donated by the community.
Many of you may remember the story from a long time ago where a father had killed his two children, a boy and a girl in Findlay Twp. The mom of these kids, Susie Spik is my husband's cousin. After this horrible event, she was traumatized. She lost a ton of weight, and never ...

The Music of the Night!!!
We went to see the Phantom of the Opera!
Let's start by saying this. If you have not seen the Phantom, we HIGHLY suggest that you do. This is their last year EVER to put on this amazing show!
This beautiful story starts out a little confusing, especially if you do not know the story, as neither Debby or I did! The effects are AMAZING, and when they raise the chandelier at the beginning it takes your breath away!
As soon as they began singing, my heart stopped.
The Phantom's voice could heal the sick. It is ...
The War of the Wardrobe....
(In all fairness, if you are easily offended I suggest that you exit this article immediately!)
I don't know about you other moms out there, but I know that I look at younger girls these days and wonder when in time did it become OK for them to look 30 years old at the mere ages of 10 and 12? These girls wear tons of makeup and have expensive clothes that most of the time look to be 2 sizes too small.
Don't know what I am talking ...
