West Pittsburgh's Park / Playground Listings!

PARK GUIDE In the spring and summer you can always find my kiddos and I at a park around the area.  Here are the parks located in our local area , links to any that  have links and info about the park itself.  

 

 Moon Park   Ewing Mill RdNice play areas, playing fields, shelters, clean facilities, hiking trails.  Toddler area is enclosed which is nice. Larger playground is not for under 3 - Too many high features.  Lovely grass areas for picnicing.

wave pool, diving pool, tennis courts, groves and shelters, trails, log cabinRainbow Park -(Clinton Park)   --   Located off of Route 30 in Clinton PA  Park will be on your left. Enclosed wooden play area.  Unique and fun.  A little hard to follow little ones through but fun none the less.  A great place to check out. Trails to walk.

 

 North Fayette Township Park  400 North Branch Road   Offers three great playgrounds on site as well  as pavilions, ball fields, batting cages , basketball courts and tennis courts. 

 

Heritage Park - Mcdonald PA  McDonald has two community parks, one located at the east end of town, and one at the west end. The parks serve as home field to the McDonald Youth Baseball/Softball League and also as the practice field for the Fort Cherry Little Rangers Youth Football League. The Borough’s annual 4th of July fireworks are displayed from Heritage Park (west end). Both have playground equipment and there are picnic pavilions available for rent at Heritage Park. 


 War Memorial Park Just past the Sewickley Valley YMCA.  HANDS DOWN best park in Pittsburgh. Soft surface , 2 separate playgrounds suited for varying ages.  Handicapped accessible and equipped.  Pavilion, grassy area and creek.   You won't regret the longer drive. 


Donaldson Elementary School Ball Field Park- North Fayette  Off of Bateman Road.  Newly constructed.  Best for ages 3 and up but with parent help and supervision under 3 can enjoy.  Many "neat" features but no swings etc!  Large open paved area for bike riding, bike learning  etc :)
