JUNIOR LEAGUE OF PITTSBURGH

Big Trucks and Kids Become Friends at the 4th Annual
Touch-a-Truck Event

Want to honk the horn on a fire truck or sound the siren on a police car?  Here’s your chance!  The Junior League of Pittsburgh invites you to “Touch-a-Truck.”  Join us Saturday, May 21st in the Strip District where more than 50 trucks will be on display.  This family fun festival lets your kids play, explore and learn at the same time!

Touch-a-Truck Co-Chair Heidi Gillespie promises this year will be bigger and better than ever. “Many past participants are returning with the trucks kids love, and we are psyched to be welcoming new exciting additions to our parking lot in the strip! We are showcasing vehicles as diverse as a mail truck and a concrete pumper, and as much fun as the Pittsburgh Zoomobile and the Eat n’ Park Cookie Cruiser.”

Kids will also have the opportunity to meet Steely McBeam, the Pirate Parrot and a handful of other characters. So come join us Saturday May 21st rain or shine from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Strip District at the parking lot of 15th and Smallman Street.

Purchase your tickets early and snag a deal!  Tickets are on sale right now for $4.00 at www.jlpgh.org.  You can also purchase tickets at the door the day of the event for $5.00.  Parking is free for all attendees.

All proceeds will help to fund projects that support the Junior League’s vision of improving the quality of lives for women and children in the Pittsburgh community through innovative projects, effective advocacy, generous community grants and collaborative partnerships. The Junior League of Pittsburgh’s 400 women volunteers collectively contribute 10,000 volunteer hours annually in the Pittsburgh community.
