If you're anything like my husband and I , we ADORE finding a great little place to frequent for dinners and I'd say drinks, but we never get out for that part! Sigh, tis the life of parents of 3. We love to find a place off the beaten path that offers a great menu, kid accomodations and a GREAT staff. We've been here 4 years now and still hadn't found our FAVORITE new " local yocal " place. UNTIL NOW!
We found it! Downey's House! GUESS WHAT? It's RIGHT HERE in our area and I BET you didn't even know about it! We took all three children, glutton for punishment usually, but found that the atmosphere was friendly and very kid accommodating. The facility is TOTALLY clean and the eating areas are large and spacious. There is a bar but you'd barely know it because it has such a restaurant feel to it. Our server was Natalie and she knew everything about the menu and even recommended some good eats for us. We loved the food, the mood and the staff. My husband got a scrumptious black and tan beer, perfectly made I must say as well as a Cinco De Mayo burrito! I had a meatball sandwich and the girls had grilled cheese and spaghetti. YUMMAY!
Now we just have to get there some evening for a Mommy and Daddy date! They have live bands and and a DJ on the weekends that compliments their newly built outdoor deck area.
