Mmmm, Ice Cream... The one food that can truly take me back to childhood. I can still hear the bells of the ice cream truck that came daily to my housing plan coming down the street. I can remember the sheer joy of running to catch up to wherever it was to give him my money for a special ice cream treat. My favorite was the face with the bubble gum nose. I would eat all the way around avoiding the nose, saving it for last! I did that after realizing that the bubblegum was frozen and had to thaw! Yes, I learned the hard way...no pun intended. I remember the sticky wrapper and all.
I am still a sucker for the ice cream truck, and I am sure that I will pass that magical amusement to my daughter.
So when you hear that cheesy music of the ice cream truck coming down your street, pull out some moo-la and join your kids in the chase to stop him, and enjoy the bubblegum nose of an ice cream face for me! :)
