Jonathan Abbott (JJ) is a 9 year old fourth grader at Wilson Elementary School in the West Allegheny School District.  He is a Cub Scout, plays soccer with West Allegheny Youth Soccer Association (WAYSA), Wrestled and played Football for West Allegheny.  On February 9, 2012, JJ was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation since the diagnosis his symptoms have become more pronounced, he is experiencing severe headaches and blurred vision with episodes of black vision.  He is scheduled to have surgery to remove part of his skull to create space to reduce symptoms and allow his brain to develop uninhibited.

We are currently planning a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit to be held on May 12, 2012 at Clinton United Presbyterian Church in Clinton, PA and are seeking donations of some or all of the supplies that will be required to make the evening a success.  We are holding the benefit to help provide assistance to the Abbott family with medical bills and related expenses.

In addition we are also looking for items to include in a Chinese auction.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated since adults and children alike will be looking to win a prize.  Anything from pizza donations, toys, professional athlete autographs, baskets, automobile tools and everything in between will aid in the effort to help out a family who gives so much to our community.

The Abbott family is very involved in the community and gives their time freely to help mold and shape the youth of the community.  Joe has been Cub Scouts Den Leader for 5 years and is now an Assistant Scout Master. Michelle has been a soccer coach for many years and is now Vice President of WAYSA; she is also Committee Chair with the Cub Scouts for the last 6 years. Steven (JJ’s older brother) is a Boy Scout and also plays soccer for WAYSA and the STM cup team.

Though donations are not tax deductable any assistance you can provide will be greatly welcomed.  Your assistance and thoughtfulness is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Should you have any questions or would like to make a donation please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thank you for your time.
