"Man Flowers"

As Seen on KDKA!

June 12, 2012

Supplies:

Container for flowers:  I chose a lunch size cooler but a regular pot or even an ice bucket would work too.

Floral foam

Bamboo Skewers

Smaller sized BBQ items such as brushes, marinades, spices, etc.

Crinkled Paper to cover the floral foam

Step 1:  Gather small and somewhat light weight items for your “flowers”.  Step 2: Tape the item to a bamboo skewer… making sure to put the pointed part at the bottom and the item near the top.

Step 3:  Cut the foam to fit into your container.  This was the hardest part… that stuff is hard to cut!

Step 4:  Arrange all of your items by sticking each skewer into the foam at varying depths.  I started with the items I wanted tallest and worked my way down.  Step 5:  Cover the foam with some type of small crinkled paper to give your project a finished look!

This was one of my favorite projects!  It has so many different ways that this method could be used!  I already plan on doing a golfing one for my Dad’s birthday and I even think it could be used with a sand bucket at the base and kids water toys on the skewers!  You can’t beat this super cute presentation!!
