We hope you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend as much as we did!

This weekend in celebration of the last days the pools would be open we did a POOL CRAWL!  Yep...
We went to three pools in 3 days which is a lot considering we had some rain over the weekend.
I wanted to soak up every single last bit of pool time I could with my family.

One time, we were out with my sis and her family and since the guys were there to watch the kids we could play for a bit.  We (the adults to be clear) had contests to see who could do the most flips under water, who could touch the bottom of the pool, who could jump the furthest (this one was unspoken and of course I won...maybe because she didn't know she was playing...but still counts as a win).  Then we did some synchronized swimming ... good times! But it was just like we were kids again in our pool having a blast like we used to do every day all summer long.  I laughed so hard I almost drowned.

Then we went fishing for the first time as a family.  I haven't been in ...uh...

let me think...

30 years?

That math is depressing.

ANYWAY I digress.

We went fishing with almost the whole family.  And it brought back some wonderful memories from my childhood.  Memories of my sister and I being awakened at the crack of crack and dragged to the fishin' hole like we lived in Mayberry or something to sweat just shy of dehydration and be eaten alive by bugs.

But we were together and we had a blast!  And better yet we have some fabulous times to look back on and remember.

I pray that I can create things like this for my son and more for me too!  I am in charge of what his memories will be.  WHOAH!  That just freaked me out while I wrote it.  I shall highlight it...

So to that end we bundled up as much as I could remember we needed and took to the fishin' hole with a few extra faces and some that were missed.

Here's a look into what I hope to be the beginnings of an incredible file that plays in his little head when he is older and greyer and hopefully creating a memory with his little ones.

It's up to us now to create what our kids will remember....I am going to take that very seriously from here on. And just for the record...next time I will win the flipping contest with my sis. I am going to train over the winter and watch out! I'm coming after you Christine Lynnette!
