Children’s Museum Offers Free Weekday Admission to First Responders

Free admission in March generously sponsored by Bank of America

February 29, 2024

Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is excited to announce free weekday admission to individual first responders during the month of March.

First responders can enjoy one free adult or senior admission ticket with official first-responder credentials and matching identification. Admission must be purchased in person and is limited to one adult ticket per transaction. This offer is made possible through the support of Bank of America.

“It is an honor to partner with Bank of America to present this benefit to first responders, a group that deserves to be celebrated for all they do for the community,” says Traci Weatherford-Brown, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Senior Director of Museum Advancement.

Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh offers several free admission days every year as well as a handful of standing discounts. Visit pittsburghkids.org/visit/admission-discounts/ for more information on current admission discounts. The Museum also participates in the RAD Pass program, offering Allegheny County library-card holders a free family pass on select weekdays. Visit radpass.org/ to learn more and reserve a pass.

“We are delighted to continue our long-time support of this vital national and community resource and to thank first responders for their important work,” said Helene Conway-Long, market executive for Bank of America in Pittsburgh.

Visitors can explore the Museum’s latest exhibit Rube Goldberg™: The World of Hilarious Invention!, inspired by the chain-reaction contraptions of Pulitzer Prize winning humorist and inventor Rube Goldberg. Build, activate and modify machines that use everyday objects to do simple tasks in the most overcomplicated, inefficient and hilarious ways possible.

MuseumLab, where kids 10+ can have cutting-edge experiences in art, tech and making, is next door to the Children’s Museum and included with admission. MuseumLab’s current hours are Saturday – Sunday, noon – 5:00 pm. MuseumLab will also be open on these upcoming weekdays, noon – 5:00 pm: March 25 – 29 and April 1.
