Carnegie Coffee Company is located in the old post office in downtown Carnegie, and boasts with historic charm your kids will adore. They'll have lots of questions for you as they ogle the vintage phone booth while in line. You can start your day here with a quick cup of their variety of coffee, but their daily breakfast and lunch menu makes Carnegie Coffee Company a perfect mommy and me date venue! Carnegie Coffee Co. is sure to have just what you're looking for to start your day and to keep your belly happy. They even cater and host private events for any celebration! From weddings to private brunches to birthday parties, the espresso will be waiting, and you will be celebrating the yummy snacks and the event.





2. Pittsburgh's Sweets N' Treats

Your kids will love all the fun and delicious sweets that Pittsburgh's Sweets N' Treats has to offer. When you're looking to curve your sweet tooth, this is the place to order from. Affordable and delicious, this place has it all. Hot chocolate bombs are always a fun treat and activity to share with the kiddos! They even have a variety of chocolate-covered pretzels, chocolate-covered Oreos, rice crispy treats, chocolate-covered strawberries and much more, starting at $5! Check them out the next time your sweet kids are deserving of a sweet treat.

3. Goodwill Heidelberg Outlet

Goodwill is a great place to donate clothes you no longer need in your closet and to practice earth-friendly shopping. The Goodwill experience starts at home where you can practice conversations with your kids about donating small items. Let them pick out a few things they no longer use but would like to see go to a new home and bring them to the donation center. If you're in need of a new wardrobe or just looking for something to do, Goodwill is the go-to. For cheap prices and weekly deals for military, senior citizens, students, teachers and first responders, Goodwill has items for everyone. Kids love Goodwill because they can find gently loved toys at a price it's hard to say "no" to. Want to turn your shopping into a game they'll never forget? Tell them you're each going to pick out an outfit for the other, from hats to shoes, and they have to try it on. With the variety of colors and items they sell, from wedding dresses to bathing suits, you're bound to have a good laugh and some photos to send in the family group chat. They also have disability, education and youth services to give back, even more to their customers.

This gorgeous park is equipped with spaces for everyone to enjoy including a skate park, athletic courts like Tennis, Basketball, Hockey and more. They have a walking path for the whole family to catch a breather after playing games and sliding down slides on the play area. You'll have a blast with your kids, and they'll be entertained for hours. If you've had enough here for the day, stop by Forsythe Mini Golf because it's right around the corner.

5. Carnegie Performing Arts Center

The Carnegie Performing Arts Center provides excellent classes and performances throughout the year. If your kids are interested in theater, music, or dance, take them to an open audition for a chance at an educational and fun experience with their professional instructors. January 8th they are hosting open auditions for their February performance of Beauty and the Beast. The audition is open to all boys and girls ages 5-adult, and you do not have to be a student of Carnegie Performing Arts to Audition. Would your kids prefer to watch from the audience? Carnegie Performing Arts will strive to entertain in a most enjoyable way.




6. Forsythe Miniature Golf

Once the spring hits, get on the green and practice your swing with the whole family. Who doesn't like a little family competition? This miniature golf course has party packages for any celebration on your calendar. They even have ice cream sandwich cookies as their main snack.
