In addition, we are seeking creative individuals from all disciplines to lead one-session workshops during the COOP program. Workshops should focus on a specific idea, skill, project or technique. They can take the form of a studio visit, skill share, performance, demonstration, discussion panel or some other participatory event. We are interested in a wide range of workshop topics.

Compensation for a workshop is $200 and there is a small materials budget available. Deadline to apply to lead a workshop is August 31.

Check out this insightful new article on Greer Lankton
We're pleased to present this sprawling new article from Xtra* on our beloved Greer Lankton, a trailblazing American artist who eloquently explored and questioned the norms of gender and sexuality, as well as the powerful imagery of popular culture and consumerism.

Featuring input from our Senior Archivist, Sarah Hallett, the article runs the gamut of Lankton's career - from her early days in New York's thriving outsider art scene of the 80s to her final (and now permanent) exhibition housed at the Mattress Factory, It's All About ME, not you.

Also covered is the Greer Lankton Collection Finding Aid. Launched in April 2022 and comprised of over 15,000 materials, the archive offers an unfiltered view into Lankton’s life, eloquently exploring and questioning the norms of gender and sexuality, iconography, popular culture, consumerism and socially-engaged art.
