General Admission not included, content most appropriate for ages 6 and up.

Join our staff educators on a detailed journey through your favorite exhibits! Learn about how astronauts travel, what Mars is like, and what it takes to create sustainable energy. Enjoy a fun, hands-on activity after the tour and have fun with the whole family.

Ready to Rocket

Sat., Oct. 15
3:30–4:30 pm

Journey through SpacePlace to learn what it takes to get astronauts into orbit, travelling 17,500 miles per hour. Make observations while helping educators launch rockets during an interactive workshop.

Sustainable Stories

Sat., Nov. 19
3:30–4:30 pm

Take a trip though H2Oh! to learn how we can create sustainable energy and keep dangerous chemicals out of our environments and bodies! Track how plastics flow into waterways and learn how to prevent it. Participate in activities that promote practical sustainable practices.

Red Planet Engineers

Sat., Dec. 17
3:30–4:30 pm

Tour the new exhibition Mars: Our Next Giant Leap to get a firsthand understanding of how engineering is essential for landing, building, and living on Mars. Participants will use design principles in our FedEx STEM Learning Labs to explore what it takes to land robots, and eventually astronauts, on the Martian surface. This new program offers participants an experience that is completely out of this world.
