From budding ballet dancers to next-generation performers, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School provides premier ballet training to more than 1,000 students of all ages, skills and interest levels. As the official training institution of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, PBT School offers an inspirational learning environment where students share state-of-the-art studios with a professional ballet company.

Led by PBT Artistic Director Terrence S. Orr and School Co-directors Marjorie Grundvig and Dennis Marshall, PBT School ranks among the nation finest programs for dance education and training.

The School’s internally recognized faculty work to instill a long-term value for the art form while emphasizing diverse, high-quality curriculum in a positive environment.

The School’s bright, air-conditioned facility is located in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, just 1.5 miles from the heart of downtown. It features five spacious studios with sprung Harlequin floors. Live music accompanies most classes. This fall, PBT will open a brand-new annex housing two additional studios and expanded cross-training space.

Whether you’re looking for a way to keep your young ballerina dancing in the summer, or an opportunity to introduce your youngster to ballet for the first time (beginners welcome!), PBT School’s Summer Programs offer something for everyone.  Weekly and week-long options are available.

PBT School Summer Programs are also a great way to experience the wonderful selection of dance classes offered before registering for classes in the fall.
