The Cutest Turkey Shirt!

By Savannah Holmes's November 15, 2011

Material needed:

-brown t-shirt or onesie(I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby for $2.99)

-various colors of felt(white, green, red, orange, yellow, black)

-fabric glue

-scissors

Optional Items:

-2 small black buttons

-needle

-thread

-ribbon for bow

Cut two small circles out of the white felt for the turkeys eyes.

I traced something round I had lying around the house. Cut a

triangle out of the orange felt. For the wattle(red hangy thingy) use

a piece of red felt. I had to kind of wing this one. You can either use

black felt for the eyes or use buttons as I did. Once you have your

turkeys face made arrange it on the front of the shirt. Once you approve

begin to glue down your pieces.

Now for the feathers. Using four pieces of different colored felt cut

across hamburger(short ways) style not hotdog(long ways). Fold

each piece seperately like a hotdog bun and about 1/4 of the way

up begin cutting diagonal until you reach the other corner on the

opened end, not the folded end. When you open it it should have

a somewhat rounded pointed tip. Continue to do this for each color.

Place on the back of the shirt fanned out and begin to glue down once

you have arranged them to your liking. You also want to glue the feathers

that overlay each other together.**I have not tried to wash this shirt. I do not think felt and fabric glue
will hold up in the washer so wash at your own risk.
