YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh camps provide and excellent setting for your child to build friendships and to grow, learn and play. 

YMCA fo Greater Pittsburgh camps provide and excellent setting for your child to build friendships and to grow, learn and play.  You'll find our experienced Camp Counselors offer children a variety of imaginative activities that nurture children's spirits, challenge their minds and strengthen their bodies.  Camping activities reinforce the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and are age appropriate.  They include swimming, arts and crafts, healthy active play and field trips.  Our weekly themes provide a basis for activies that help children learn about themselves and the world around them. 

 


 

Summer Day Camp is open to children that have completed kindergarten through age 12 and camp hours are 9am till 4:30pm with early drop off as early as 7am and pick up as late as 6pm.

  
Week 1 June 11 Games-a-palooza.  This is a week full of games and activities that focus on having fun, developing sportsmanship and learning to be a team player. 


Week 2 June 18 Blast from the Past.  The clock is ticking, what decade will we stop in?


Week 3 June 25 Olympic Week.  Meet and compete with Y campers.  We will enjoy relay races and track and field games this week. 


Week 4 July 2.  Spirit Week.  Come Celebrate what the Y is all about!


Week 5 July 9 Splish Splash.  Water, water everywhere!


Week 6 July 16 Creepy, crawly, fuzzy, furry creatures.  Calling all bug and animal enthusiasts! Interact with insects, reptiles, worms and more!


Week 7 July 23 Pittsburgh Pride.  Discover the city that we live in. 


Week 8 July 30 Don't forget your passport.  Pack your bags and get ready for an awesome trip across the USA and the world!


Week 9 August 6 Ooey, gooey and slimy too! Get ready for a wacky week of icky, sticky, silly stuff that you create.


Week 10 August 13 Carnival Craze.  Do you have what it takes to have fun and play a ton of games?
