Golf Club Covers

As Seen on KDKA!

June 12, 2012
When trying to come up with some cute ideas for Father's Day, I ran across these 2 awesome ideas to make golf club covers!  I love the idea of giving them something they can actually use!!

The inspiration and instructions for the Monster Golf Club cover can be found here.  I thought this was a great take on the very popular pillows and blankets the kids love to help make!  This project was very fast too. It took less than 10 minutes start and finish and was made with supplies I already had in my house.

The ones made from socks can be found ....somewhere on-line because I am quite sure this wasn't my original idea!  However, I have looked and looked and cannot seem to locate again.

SUPPLIES FOR SOCK GOLF CLUB COVERS
Socks (any kind)
Googly eyes
Foam for the visor
Puffy Paint and/or marker to write on the foam visor
Yarn for the hair
Hot glue or fabric glue

Step 1:  I put the sock over  my hand like a sock puppet to see proper placement of the eyes.  I placed the eyes around where my knuckles were and used a glue gun to affix them.
Step 2:  Cut the foam in a half-moon shape to look like a visor.
Step 3: If you want hair, cut small pieces of yarn and glue to the back of the visor. I used hot glue on mine but regular glue or even a glue stick will work just fine.
Step 4:  Write with a marker or puffy paint on the visor any cute message you like!
Step 5:  Glue the visor behind the eyes!

*This is a SUPER DUPER easy project.  It literally took my daughter and I less than 5 minutes and it was a great use of some scraps and mis-matched socks!!  This would be very cute for a female golfer too.  You can get fuzzy socks and get some jewels for the visor... I love anything you can bedazzle!!
