National Geo Wild Toys- A Review

The Anteater Bug Vac Takes The Cake-- and the ANTS!

August 28, 2012
Our last National Geo Wild toy installment saves some of the best for last.  First up we got to check out the Anteater Bug Vac.  ( pictured above)

My kids got SUCH A KICK OUT OF THIS TOY.  I can't tell you how much fun Mady had sucking up ants we found under a rock.

What seems to have happened over the course of this National Geographic Toy review month is that my girls-- have become curious little scientists.  Instead of running from ANTS, we now suck them up and look at them.  It's GRAND!

This thing sucks up the bugs into a tiny container where kiddos can view the specimen!  Then you can pull out the specimen case and release the buggy   vermin  "catch" back into the wild yonder.  I got a kick out of it too and the way this thing looks, makes it a really unique gift.

When have YOU received an ANTEATER BUG VAC?  Never, have I!

We also got to check out a few National Geo Wild Card Games.  The game tin had 4 games in one.  The traditional Go Fish, War, Old Maid and Crazy Eights but all games are aptly named fun Wild Animal names!

Crazy Apes
Go Dive
Old Ellie
King of the Jungle

Emma and Peyton chose to play WAR but only AFTER checking out every. single. gorgeous. image on the cards.  We LOVE LOVE  LOVE animals in our household.  These reviews have been a lot of fun for my animal loving family!

Mady specifically loved the last game.  Memory Match Game, Baby Wild Animals.

She is all about the baby animals and we used the game in several formats.  We reviewed animal names and sounds.  We matched up LIKE animals.  We counted the cards and last, of course, we played the game.  What I love about Memory Match Games--- that you can minimize the amount of cards you use while you "teach" the game to little ones.  Mady had such fun playing the game that when I asked her to stop- she threw a fit.

I had to promise we would play it in the morning, after breakfast to get her to go to bed.
That's a score in my book!

Once again, National Geographic came through again.  You can check out any of these items and more by clicking here.

I was compensated for this review but the opinions expressed are my own.
