It’s back to school time!  After a summer filled with fun, it’s time to prepare for the Fall & Winter months.  But what can we do with all of the clutter, also known as outgrown clothing & no longer used toys?  Gather your items to sell at our Fall/Winter event!

Just Between Friends (JBF) of Pittsburgh North, part of the nation’s leading maternity and children’s consignment sales event system, is now accepting registrations for the upcoming Fall/Winter sale! The JBF Sale will be held September 21-23 at the RMU Island Sports Center Golf Dome, on Neville Island (located just off I-79). Gather those items to sell and make some money!  Here are my top 5 tips to help you clear out the clutter & CA$H in!

1.      Be Picky!
Look at the items as if YOU were going to purchase them. When you are going through your items, have a JBF bin, a donation bin, and a trash can as you sort. Only bring your BEST to the JBF sale so you don’t waste time tagging and maximize your earnings.

  1. Price to Sell!
    If you set your price right, it IS going to sell! Generally, items sell for 1/4 to 1/2 of original price, depending on condition.  Check out our helpful pricing guidelines on our
    website. Ask yourself, "What would I pay for this item?" Price to sell and we recommend you mark your items to go ½ off at our 50% sale on Sunday! 
  2. Presentation Is Important!
    When preparing your items, make sure they are clean.  For clothing - check all snaps, buttons & zippers.  Those clothes that are wrinkle free sell best.  For baby equipment, electronics, etc.- include all parts and manuals. Take a picture of your item assembled if it includes several pieces so the shopper can see exactly what they are buying. Take a little time to prep your items and they will be the first to go!
  3. Shop FIRST! 
    Volunteer for just 4 hours at the sale and you will earn MORE, shop FIRST and have FUN!  As a volunteer, you will make an extra 10% on your sales, meet some great people and have FUN doing it! 
  4. Spread The Word!
    The more shoppers that visit the JBF Sale, the bigger YOUR check will be!  Tell your family, friends and neighbors to join us for our Fall/Winter Sale!
