Although I’ve never actually seen the inside of the toy workshop at the North Pole, I’m fairly certain it looks much like the inside of the Build a Bear at The Mall at Robinson!
We were so excited to be able to invite 24 Macaroni Families to a special event to help kick off the holiday season! It was so much to watch each family arrive and see their children’s’ eyes light up as they stepped inside and saw all of the fun toys the store had to offer! There were some seasonal favorites such as Rudolph and the Grinch but there were also some I hadn’t seen before! One of my favorites was the bear that smelled like a Christmas cookie and I saw several little girls taking home the Merry Mint Pup that actually smell minty!! LOVE it!!
The staff is so wonderful with every child that comes in the store. They take the time to make every experience special and seem to genuinely like their jobs! I’m convinced they are Santa’s elves in disguise! Bearemy® also made an appearance and greeted every child! It was a charming addition to the night.
My daughter is 5 and has been in love with Build a Bear for quite a while but my son just turned 4 and hadn’t quite caught the bug yet… until he saw the Star Wars and Angry Birds section. We also saw a great Armed Forces section and of course an array of Pittsburgh Teams clothing!
One of the best tips I heard about that night was to buy a child an outfit for their bear at Build a Bear and include a gift card so they can pick out their own stuffed friend. It adds a personal touch to the gift card and I saw outfits for as low as $5.
Macaroni Kid wants to send a big thank you to all of you who came out and shared an awesome night of family fun and a special thanks to the staff at Build a Bear in The Mall at Robinson for making the night a huge success!
