Whew!!!!

I just came back home after a night of fun music, fantastic light displays, dancing 'til I dropped and singing along with my favorite group.

Which must-see concert did I go to?

Why it was Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE!: Get the Sillies Out! of course!

Tonight's show was a blast! And honestly it was like we were in a TV with the characters. If you are official #1 fans of the show like we are then you will know how at the beginning of each and every show the characters go from just toys to moving and singing stars. I will admit I got lost in the transition of it all tonight. It's because they make it so very believable. There is a giant screen they use as a back drop for the stage that looks like a TV and they keep changing it just like the show. It's mesmerizing!

There was an adorable little one sitting next to me who loves loves loves Yo Gabba Gabba and her grandmother and I were talking about how odd it was that she wasn't more excited. Then we figured it out...she thought she was watching the TV. As soon as she figured out that what she saw was really really REAL she went nuts. When you have the fruits and vegetables dancing in the aisles for the "Party in My Tummy" song, it's not hard to realize you have stepped into a whole new world. But that is the best testimony to how much like the show this tour is. If you love the show you will not be disappointed!

We sang and danced to all of our favorites tonight: "Hold Still,"I Like to Dance," "Bubbles," and so many more!

And just to prove that all D.J. Lance's "Friends are Different" he invited a couple: Mike Park and Biz Markie. Mike and his friends were fantastically funky and completely interactive. Then Biz dropped his beats and every person in the place was waving their hands in the air. It was really quite a treat. And that's one of the things I love as parent. Yo Gabba Gabba shows that there are different styles of music, different cultures and brings them together just to have some fun. Just like life should be.

Before the show they had some fun stuff too. You could play instruments and play some bean bag toss games Yo Gabba Gabba style. I also appreciated the "shop local" and "recycle" messages they had displayed on signs throughout the place. As a parent I love those ideals being reinforced.

If you have the chance to see Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE!: Get the Sillies Out! you must! If your littles ones have ever watched the TV show and liked it they will love it!

We got our Sillies Out without a doubt! And now I have a very tired very happy little one fast asleep and I am not far behind. Now if I can just get that "Party in My Tummy" song out of my head I might be able to sit still long enough to do the same. Maybe I should "jump, shake, shimmy" it out? I might try....

Macaroni Kid of Pittsburgh LLC received free tickets to the show to review. But the views expressed are all our own. We would not steer you wrong!
