SwimZip: Making UV Protection a Zip

How Did SwimZip Stand Up Against Two 4 Year Olds? An Editor Review

By Christine LaGrosse & Debby Perry - Editors, Macaroni Kid of PIttsburgh LLC July 9, 2013

We were so excited to try  SwimZip suits and both of our 4 year old kiddos really gave them a work out!   We've been to the community pool, to Idlewild park Soak Zone, to the local spray park and finally in our backyard for some water slide fun!  They have held up perfectly and done the job like a champ!

Our two adorable models are Joseph and Mady!
Joseph has been refusing to wear a swim shirt so far this year because he doesn’t want me to squeeze his head when I try to force it on.  I always get it about half way on and wonder if it’s really going to fit this time or is this going to be the time I have to cut him out of it with the jaws of life!!  I was thrilled that he put this top on with no problem.  He actually went in the bathroom all by himself and came out fully dressed and ready for fun. This is a testament to its ease of use and zipper simplicity because he can struggle with zippers at times!

I wasn’t sure how he would feel about the long sleeves but he said he liked it better than sunscreen.  He has a slight aversion to lotions so it’s always a battle or bribing session to get him to wear sunscreen so he appreciated not having to have it on his arms.  He also had a significant scrape on one of his arms so it was GREAT to just be able to put his shirt on and have no worries!

Little Mady Moo looks so adorable in her fabulous 2 piece!  Seriously, she should be on the runway in this thing because she was so cute and she knew it!  I am in love with the ruffles on this suit and the colors are fabulous.   You can view all of the incredibly cute options here and keep in mind the MOMMY thought that was put into these outfits!  Editor Debby Perry loved the zipper tacking on the inside of the shirt!  Can anyone say-- SENSITIVE TO WEIRD FABRIC FEELINGS!?  Mady is and she was perfectly fine with how it felt on her belly!

Innovative and CLEVER…the zipper also has a "garage" at the top so there is no rubbing or chafing!  Tuck it in once zipped and you're ready to go!
We also appreciated her being fully covered YET still being able to get those bottoms downs easily when she had to make a trip to the restroom!    I’m sure every Mother and Father has had those panicked moments when their kid tells them they have to go and that suit is stuck on like it’s super glued and you wonder if they’re going to make it in time or not!   And forget about having to get a once piece bathing suit pulled back up… it’s easier to start over with a fresh suit (not that I’ve ever done that!!)
