My girls, ages 11, 9 and 5 are just starting to get into building bricks etc and I tend to boycott those as much as I can because it's just not my cup of tea. So I task my wonderful sister, Aunt Nenny with these things! It is indeed her cup of tea and then some.
So I followed my pattern of dependency on my sister. When K'NEX sent me their Super Sonic Swirl to engineer and build...well... I gave it to her.
She had a BLAST building it and the finished product was PHENOMENAL! She felt it was a do-able project for some of the older kiddos and that with assistance certainly a younger child with interest in building, could do this!
The thing about K'NEX. They move! No stagnant solid block pieces. Movement. Amazing movement. I was literally in awe the minute she powered it on. "You MADE THAT?!" I said.
IT WAS A HUGE hit at our Hot Holiday Toy Preview party and it continues to be a show stopper here at the Perry household. My girls have given rides on the Super Sonic Swirl to everything from random Lego figurines to their Shopkins!
