Rainbow's End Memorial playground, in Clinton Park, was constructed in Sept of 2000 by a dedicated group of community-oriented people and businesses who relied solely upon funds, materials, and manpower donated by the community.
Many of you may remember the story from a long time ago where a father had killed his two children, a boy and a girl in Findlay Twp. The mom of these kids, Susie Spik is my husband's cousin. After this horrible event, she was traumatized. She lost a ton of weight, and never attended family functions. In the past years I have gotten to know Susie and her family. They are the type of people who would give you the shirt off their backs if you needed them to. I see the way she looks at Gracie and my heart just breaks for her.
She started a fund after the horrible murders and in memory of her children, herself and the community built Rainbow's End Playground. Susie wanted to have a place to go to be with her children, and everyday you will find her there with her dog walking thru Clinton Park, past the playground.
"Friends of Rainbow's End Memorial playground" has been established at the request of Findlay Twp to raise the funds necessary for long term care and maintenance of the playground. Your support is needed to preserve and maintain this community asset.
Your tax deductible donation will directly cover ongoing maintenance costs of the playground to include: cleaning, sanding, staining, painting, ground cover, and landscaping. Please help by sending your donations to:
