So many kids are getting ready for their celebration of 100 days of school??!!!If you happen to have younger kids and haven’t been introduced to this concept yet, you do not want to miss out!At the risk of dating myself, I don’t ever remember counting the days of school much less being excited about the 100th day.Well, times they have changed!SHORT history lesson:most primary classrooms count the number of days they have been in school for several purposes but one in particular is to help kids learn about math. 10’s, 100’s 1,000’s, etc. are a pretty big deal in our base 10 numbering system so it’s a fun way to get kids excited about this and it’s another excuse to P-A-R-T- Y!!!!Below are some helpful web site if you’re looking for some ideas of what to send in with your child on the 100thday of school. Why should teachers have all the fun?Incorporate some of these into your celebration at home… after all, we’ve all made it half way through the year!!!
