PYC’s Summer Singers Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for young singers to learn the basics of music education and group singing in a fun environment. Held at Duquesne University, our camp provides the opportunity to learn from our talented music educators, make new friends, and fall in love with choral singing. In addition to singing, activities include ukelele, creative dramatics, and eurhythmics. Campers do not need to have any prior music or singing experience to participate!
ABOUT PITTSBURGH YOUTH CHORUS: PYC is a collective of young people empowered and inspired by the joy of singing. Led by a dedicated staff of choral professionals who specialize in the young voice, we serve the region through exceptional choral music education and artistry. With opportunities for singers in grades 1-12 – and with a focus on personal development, community engagement, and cultural exchange – PYC’s multi-faceted programming is celebrated for its ability to nurture the potential of its participants while fostering confidence, dedication, and a sense of belonging.
The magic of PYC is in the relationships. Countless families have attested to how their lives have been touched as a result of being a part of the PYC family. Our Summer Singers day camp is a great way to see what PYC is all about. Come sing with us!
